Ninjas of the Forest

The kids were really into being "ninjas of the forest" all week. We did a lot of training tasks that they came up with - balancing, climbing, jumping from high places --and a lot of woodcraft as we made swords, spears and bow and arrows for our dramatic play. This week also featured rope games, tending fires, building rock houses, tracking coyote and raccoon prints in the snow, sledding down the big hill, making bird feeders, playing the barrel drum, dancing to our favorite songs and telling our favorite stories.
