    Red Fox

    Red Fox

    We've seen a lot of wildlife the past week, including a red fox and her four kits. They’ve been living in the old cabin next door and we’ve been so lucky to be able to observe them each day. We’ve also seen box turtles and water snakes. We've been spending a lot of time in the big creek, telling stories, making spruce tea, drawing with a quill and charcoal ink, and making new obstacle courses.

    For our first air pressure experiment we lit two candles in a hard boiled egg and covered them with a flask and observed what happened. In our next experiment we used a bike pump to pump air into a bottle half full of water and launch it into the air. We collected violets and juiced some lemons to make pink lemonade. When we added the lemon juice to the violet tea, it turned pink. We've been planting Elderberry trees at the edge of the forest for Earth Day. We decorated a may
